Comparion Insurance Agency seeks a Commercial Insurance Specialist to help small businesses find the right coverage through consultative sales and tailored insurance solutions. You will prospect new opportunities, build client and referral relationships, and work with multiple carriers to deliver quality coverage and service.

The position emphasizes a strong emphasis on relationship-building, cross-selling, and staying current on industry trends in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with common small commercial products: BOP, general liability, property, commercial auto, workers’ compensation, cyber, umbrella and surety/bonds.
• Experience with networking, prospecting for new business and driving top of funnel leads.
• Experience using agency management systems, comparative raters.
• Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Property & Casualty license (or progress toward them).

Responsibilities

• Source and develop new small commercial accounts through prospecting, referrals, networking, and inbound leads.
• Counsel and advise prospects and policyholders on protection and coverage with needs assessment and recommended solutions.
• Prepare and present quotes and proposals by obtaining quotes from multiple carriers using agency management systems, CRM and carrier panel rating platforms.
• Meet goals for volume of quality new business and cross-sell opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with internal and agency partners to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.
• Build relationships with referring agents to generate COI/lead streams.
• Provide timely service for endorsements, cancellations, audits, and claims liaison.
• Stay current on carrier appetite, new products, underwriting guidelines, and industry trends.
