Job summary

Skagit Valley Casino Resort is seeking a Slot Technician to join the maintenance team. You will troubleshoot, repair, install and relocate slot machines and related systems, aiming for zero downtime on the floor.

The role requires reading schematics and operating test equipment, with an emphasis on teamwork and guest-friendly service. Shifts run 8pm–4am, Saturday to Wednesday; training starts on day shift before transitioning to nights.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old
• HS Diploma/GED and 2 years' experience with mechanical/electromechanical systems or equivalent
• Two years electronic degree preferred
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams and identify components
• Experience reading oscilloscopes and digital multimeters
• Proficient with MS Office and basic computer applications
• Excellent guest service skills and ability to handle difficult situations
• Knowledge of network concepts is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed cleaning of slot machines and related components
• Assist with installation and relocation of slot machines
• Repair and preventive maintenance on slot machines and related systems to minimize downtime
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electromechanical components of slots and related equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic slot machine assemblies and tracking systems
• Install or move slot machines and related systems; convert machines between types/denominations

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform all detail cleaning of slot machines and related components.
• Assist with the installation and relocation of slot machines.
• Repair and perform preventive maintenance on slot machines, slot accounting/player tracking equipment, progressive controllers and displays, bill validators and coin acceptors, with an effort to maintain "zero down time" on the floor.
• Troubleshoot and repair all mechanical and electromechanical components of slot machines, slo accounting/player tracking, progressive controllers and displays such as coin hoppers, bill stackers and slot cabinet components.
• Troubleshoot and repair all electronic slot machine assemblies, slot accounting/player tracking system, assemblies, progressive controller and display assemblies to the component level.
• Install new and move existing slot machines, slot accounting/player tracking system, progressive controllers and displays and bill validators in a timely manner; Convert slot machines from one type and denomination to another.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma/ GED and two years' experience with mechanical and electromechanical systems required or an appropriate combination of education or experience.
• Two years electronic degree preferred.
• Proven excellent people skills and the ability to effectively deal with difficult guest situations.
• Soldering skills are required.
• Must be able to read schematics and wiring diagrams and identify electronic components.
• Must be able to read oscilloscopes and digital multi-meters.
• Knowledge network experience extremely helpful.
• Must be computer literate including basic understanding of and experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, as well as other databases or computer applications.

SHIFT:

8pm - 4am, Saturday - Wednesday (shifts may vary at times). Training period will be on day shift then move to nights.
