Job summary

Wind Creek Hospitality is seeking a Slot Technician I to maintain the operational order of all gaming machines and related equipment. The role emphasizes prompt response to requests, regular maintenance, and collaboration with vendor technicians in a dynamic casino environment.

The position requires a high school diploma, 21+ years old, and at least one year of casino gaming or IT experience (or equivalent electronics/computing background).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and complete within six months.
• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
• One year experience in casino gaming or casino IT– required or one year experience with computers/electronics– required.
• Ability to lift and maneuver at least 50 lbs and up to 150 pounds with a dolly.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and analyzes reports related to slot equipment performance.
• Prepares and tests slot machines.
• Responds promptly to calls for assistance and performs scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Moves and installs slot machines as needed.
• Researches and diagnoses game equipment malfunctions and troubleshoots.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Reviews and analyzes reports related to slot equipment performance
• Prepares and tests slot machines
• Maintains a sense of urgency in responding to calls for assistance or when dispatched
• Conducts scheduled preventive maintenance on all assigned slot machines
• Moves and installs slot machines as needed
• Researches and diagnoses game equipment malfunctions
• Troubleshoots, reads meters, and performs regular maintenance
• Communicates all information to fellow Technicians and Game Management
• Takes initiative to ask for and offer help to guests, co-associates and management
• Works closely with Vendor Technicians
• Adheres to Internal Controls (ICs), Company and Departmental Expectations
• Helps maintain a working inventory of parts and supplies
• Perform the duties and responsibilities associated with the Illinois Gaming Board Statewide Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program
• Other duties & responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)

• High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six (6) months from start date as a condition of continued employment
• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older
• One (1) year experience in a casino Gaming or casino IT department– required
• OR one (1) years’ experience working with computers or electronics– required
• Must be able to lift and maneuver at least 50 lbs
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 150 pounds using a dolly
• Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition
• Willing and able to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
• Must have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for this position.
• Willing and able to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment

Base Pay

• Compensation:$22.40 – $27.60 per hour, with starting pay based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and skills.
