Job summary

Steel Technologies LLC in Blytheville, AR is seeking a Slitter Operator to set up and run slitting equipment per customer specs and work orders. You will carefully inspect materials, measure dimensions, and ensure quality while adhering to safety standards.

You’ll perform regular equipment inspections, reconcile coil identity, thread coils, and maintain production and quality controls to meet production instructions. This role offers full-time hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform complete set-up and operational tasks of slitting to ensure compliance with customer specifications and production requirements
• Ability to use measuring tools like tape measures, micrometers and calipers
• Commitment to safety rules and requirements

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate slitting equipment per production instructions
• Reconcile coil identity to production and load coil
• Thread coil through slitter head and cropping non-complying material
• Thread mults into recoiler
• Maintain quality by measuring and verifying before, during and after processing
• Assist maintenance to troubleshoot malfunctions or perform preventative maintenance
• Remove scrap and keep area clean
