Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in a restaurant setting, and possess a strong understanding of food handling and safety practices. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality ingredients that meet our standards for taste and presentation while ensuring a clean and efficient kitchen environment. This position will share in Tip Pool.

Duties

• Assemble pizzas per company standards by various styles (New York, Detroit, Grandma and Sicilian). Garnish and plate pizzas with care, ensuring all items are attractive and in line with our presentation guidelines.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and knives safely and efficiently.
• Capable of operating a high temperature pizza oven.
• Assemble pizzas with precision, ensuring proper portioning of ingredients per our recipes for optimal flavor and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and storage areas.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food service.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
• Responsible for training new staff members on cooking techniques and kitchen procedures.
• Eye for detail, ability to pay attention, and ability to multitask.
• Wrap up your shift by assisting with inventory, restocking supplies, and ensuring the kitchen is spotless for the next team.
