Job summary

Accendra Health in Richmond, VA is seeking a Sleep Technician to help patients feel comfortable using prescribed sleep therapy equipment. You will set up devices, educate patients and caregivers, provide technical support, and deliver compassionate service to encourage therapy adherence.

Key duties include configuring equipment per prescriptions, demonstrating use and maintenance, explaining features and safety information, documenting interactions, and following up on therapy concerns.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years in-person customer service.
• Strong customer service and patient support.
• Clear explanation of equipment instructions and technical information.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with patients, caregivers, and team members.
• English reading, writing and speaking.
• Basic computer skills (Word/Excel).
• Experience with sleep therapy equipment helpful.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and configure sleep therapy equipment per prescribed settings.
• Set up equipment and teach patients and caregivers how to use, clean, and maintain it safely.
• Explain equipment features, warranties, and safety information.
• Answer patient questions and troubleshoot technical equipment issues.
• Follow up with patients regarding equipment use and therapy compliance.
• Encourage and support patients in following their prescribed therapy.
• Document all patient and customer interactions.
• Address patient concerns and refer complaints to the appropriate team member.
