Job summary

MyMichigan Health in Michigan is seeking a Sleep Technologist I to assist with Polysomnographic testing under supervision. You will set up monitoring equipment, apply electrodes, monitor patient safety, and help collect and score data for accurate results.

On-the-job training is provided; no formal education is required initially. The role offers a pathway toward RPSGT certification, with a night-shift incentive and a qualification-based bonus program.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in STAR-designated A-STEP Self-Study education program approved by BRPT.
• A minimum of 960 hours of clinical experience with on-site polysomnography duties.
• Must complete A-STEP modules within 3 weeks of hire and obtain RPSGT within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Learn equipment selection and calibration; apply electrodes and sensors following standards.
• Perform data acquisition and monitor study-tracing quality; document artifacts.
• Score sleep/wake stages per AASM; generate accurate reports; consider pediatric, adult, and geriatric care.
• Learn cleaning and disinfection; ensure patient safety and adherence to scoring parameters.
