Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking a Sleep Lab Technician to perform diagnostic testing and data analysis in the sleep disorders department. The role includes preparing patients, calibrating equipment, and coordinating testing parameters with physicians.

Occasional rotation to other sleep labs may be required to cover staff shortages and patient volume fluctuations, with emphasis on accuracy, safety, and quality of care provided to diverse patient groups.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills to communicate with individuals and groups at all levels.
• Competency in Microsoft Windows for hospital systems and software.
• Knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control Practices and Policies.

Responsibilities

• Calibrates equipment before and after use.
• Performs patient prep for procedures.
• Sets up equipment and performs testing and analysis as ordered by the physician.
• Scores PSG and CPAP titrations and documents results.
• Demonstrates knowledge of safety precautions for equipment and attends staff education.
