Job summary

MyMichigan Health's Sleep Lab is seeking a Sleep Technologist I to support PSG testing and patient care under supervision. You will set up equipment, apply electrodes, monitor safety, and help with data acquisition and reporting.

Training will be provided; no formal education required beyond high school or equivalent, with on‑the‑job learning and BRPT pathway. Responsibilities include calibration, artifact reduction, scoring sleep stages per AASM, and contributing to quality assurance and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• BRPT-credential eligibility within 18 months of hire or transfer.
• STAR-designated A-STEP program enrollment encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Learn to calibrate equipment and apply electrodes; monitor patient safety.
• Acquire data and ensure artifact-free study traces for scoring.
• Score sleep stages and events per AASM standards; generate accurate reports.
• Maintain patient safety, HIPAA compliance and proper equipment cleaning.
