Job summary

MultiCare Health System is seeking a Polysomnographic Technician to perform comprehensive sleep studies and analysis under the supervision of an RPSGT or medical director. This technical role operates with limited supervision and requires sound clinical judgment in diverse patient care scenarios within sleep medicine.

Responsibilities include electrode placement, capnography, PAP titration, oximetry monitoring, equipment maintenance and calibration, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• BRPT certification is required.
• Associate degree in polysomnography or an accredited program.
• A-STEP certificate in polysomnography is acceptable.
• Polysomnography program of at least 1 year or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Document proficiency in core competencies.
• Arrival preparation and electrode/sensor application.
• Capnography.
• Maintenance, cleaning and safety precautions.
• Monitoring Pulse Oximetry.
• PAP titration.
• Polysomnographic montages and equipment calibration and function.
• Supplemental low flow oxygen titration.
