Job summary

Children’s Wisconsin’s Sleep Lab is seeking a Polysom Technician IV - RCP to perform polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic sleep services, and patient education in a Milwaukee hospital setting.

Responsibilities include PAP monitoring, data collection, and equipment maintenance, with a 0.9 FTE schedule of 3 twelve-hour night shifts. External candidates may receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus, plus staged bonuses after 90 days and six months.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
• Current licensure by the State of Wisconsin as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) required.
• RPSGT or RRT certification required or equivalent.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Previous polysomnographic technician experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform polysomnograms, cardiorespiratory tracings, and data collection.
• Titrate and monitor PAP therapy.
• Explain procedures to patients and families; provide education as needed.
• Monitor patients during testing and score polysomnograms.
• Maintain and calibrate sleep lab equipment; manage inventory.
