The role involves polysomnograms, PAP therapy monitoring, patient education, and teamwork to ensure accurate testing and high-quality care.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, enrollment in an ASTEP sleep education program, and BLS certification; RPSGT is preferred with a 24-month

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Currently enrolled or accepted in a sleep education program such as ASTEP.
• ASTEP must be completed within 6 months of hire.
• RPSGT (preferred) and must obtain within 24 months of hire.
• BLS for healthcare providers required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient needs before and during testing and take appropriate action.
• Perform polysomnograms and other diagnostic tests.
• Titrate and monitor PAP therapy.
• Calibrate and maintain lab equipment and record data.
• Explain procedures to patients and families.
• Score polysomnograms and coordinate with on-call physicians.
• Assist with inventory and supply management.
