Job summary

Fortinet is seeking a Systems Engineer to work with a Named Account Manager in a defined territory. The Systems Engineer's main mission is to support the sales organization in all technical matters regarding pre-sales, sales calls, and post-sales.

The role includes being the main technical resource on calls, educating customers and partners on features, integration, and security solutions, and providing post-sales training and escalation as needed.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of technical/pre-sales support experience in sales or as a systems engineer.
• 5–7 years of LAN/WAN/Internet services administration.
• Solid understanding of DNS, NFS, SMTP, HTTP, and TCP/IP.
• Knowledge of routing, switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, network security, IDS, and antivirus.
• Experience with encryption and authentication technologies.
• Excellent presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Pre-sales — assist in qualifying sales leads from a technical standpoint.
• Sales calls — be the main technical resource on sales calls and educate the customer and partner on issues ranging from features, specifications and functionality to integration.
• Conversant with networking applications and solutions.
• Post-sales — be the lead technical contact for identified accounts for technical issues and collaborate with the technical support team and engineering to answer, elevate, and resolve customer technical issues.
• Provide assistance to identified customers with post-sales training.
