Job summary

Salesforce.com, inc. is seeking a Slack Proactive Monitoring (ProM) Engineer to safeguard the health and performance of our largest global enterprise deployments, Enterprise Grid.

You will continuously monitor dashboards, performance thresholds, API integrations, and security events, proactively detecting anomalies and coordinating rapid mitigation with CS and Support. Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in technical support, site reliability engineering, or a related operations role.
• Hands-on observability and monitoring tool experience.
• Strong ability to read, analyze logs, metrics, and traces.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey technical findings to diverse audiences.
• Experience using AI tools to optimize workflows and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Monitor dashboards and telemetry for early signals of degradation.
• Triage alerts from multiple sources to identify patterns before customers report issues.
• Monitor Slack platform health, latency signals, queues, and database capacity.
• Oversee critical automations, EKM operations, and IDP syncs.
• Coordinate proactive outreach with Customer Success and Support teams.
• Partner with Incident Management to elevate signals meeting incident thresholds.
• Conduct RCA and document findings in internal systems.
• Collaborate with Engineering and SRE to drive rapid remediation.
• Advise clients on misconfigurations and prevent downtime.
• Develop Slack-based automations to streamline proactive monitoring.
