You will design and build systems that enable secure enterprise adoption, working with a product-driven backend stack and mentoring others.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience building web applications.
• Proficiency in functional or imperative programming languages (e.g., PHP, Java, Python, Ruby, Go, or C).
• Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and information retrieval.
• Ability to drive technical decisions, contribute to architecture discussions, and write understandable, testable, and maintainable code.
• Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts to designers, support staff, and other engineers.
• A related technical degree is required.

Responsibilities

• Brainstorm with Product Managers, Designers, and fellow Engineers to conceptualize and build new enterprise security and compliance features.
• Produce high‑quality code and contribute to projects that secure the Slack platform and drive business value.
• Own core security features or systems (like SSO, SCIM, or EKM architecture) and improve their health.
• Assist support and operations teams in triaging production issues to maintain high availability.
• Mentor other engineers and improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
