Job summary

Slack seeks a Proactive Monitoring Engineer to safeguard the health and performance of Enterprise Grid deployments. You will monitor telemetry, dashboards, API integrations, and security events, proactively reaching out before users notice issues.

Collaborating with Customer Success, Support, Engineering and SRE, you triage alerts, perform root cause analysis, and drive rapid remediation. You will build Slack-based automations and dashboards to streamline proactive monitoring.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in technical support, site reliability engineering, or related operations.
• Hands-on experience with modern monitoring tools and dashboards.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to optimize workflows.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor dashboards and telemetry for early degradation signals.
• Triage alerts from multiple sources to identify patterns before customers experience issues.
• Coordinate proactive outreach with Customer Success and Support teams.
• Perform RCA on proactively detected issues and document findings.
• Partner with Engineering and SRE to drive rapid remediation.
• Develop and maintain Slack-based automations and dashboards to streamline monitoring ops.
