Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help transform how users interact with Salesforce data through Slack integration. You will build enterprise-scale features at the intersection of real-time messaging and data synchronization.

You will collaborate with Product, Architects, UX, and engineering teams across Salesforce and Slack, shepherd architectural discussions, and advocate for engineering best practices while balancing business priorities and platform stability.

Qualifications

5+ years in backend or full-stack software development with high-impact projects.
Experience designing RESTful APIs and real-time messaging patterns (webhooks, websockets, event-driven).
Experience with distributed systems, eventual consistency, fault tolerance, and high availability.
Strong production Java code experience and deep JVM knowledge.
Ability to lead technically and mentor other engineers.

Responsibilities

Debug complex issues across distributed systems and build performant APIs for data synchronization.
Collaborate with Product, Architects, UX, and engineering teams across Salesforce and Slack; drive architecture discussions and translate requirements into scalable solutions.
Ensure code quality through testing, reviews, and on-call rotations; coordinate deployments across distributed systems.
