Job summary

DABS, Inc. is hiring a Skills Instructor to work with adults with developmental disabilities, helping them build essential skills for employment, education, and community participation. You'll lead person-centered activities, document progress, and support independence.

The role offers a starting pay range of $18–$25 per hour, with opportunities for growth, paid sick leave, mileage reimbursement, and weekly pay. A valid driver’s license and background check are required.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• Reliable transportation to and from work is required.
• Candidate must be willing to undergo state and federal background checks.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered instruction through planned community activities.
• Support individuals in accessing community resources and planning engaging activities.
• Take individuals on community outings for appointments, errands, or recreational activities.
• Track and document progress with accurate case notes.
• Redirect inappropriate behaviors and facilitate positive resolutions.
• Collaborate with a team of professionals to provide comprehensive support.
