Job summary

DABS, Inc. is hiring a Skills Instructor to provide person-centered instruction and support to adults with developmental disabilities in community settings. You will help participants access resources, plan activities, and accompany them on outings, documenting progress along the way.

Qualifications

• Commitment to helping adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Ability to communicate with individuals and teams in a compassionate manner.
• Must be able to pass state and federal fingerprint background checks.
• CPR certification and TB test preferred or obtainable with support.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered instruction through planned community activities.
• Assist participants in accessing resources and planning engaging activities.
• Take individuals on community outings to appointments or errands.
• Track progress with accurate case notes and documentation.
• Redirect challenging behaviors and support positive resolutions.
• Collaborate with a team of professionals to deliver comprehensive support.
