Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions is seeking a classically trained Cook for our Oakland Nursing Facility. You will prepare, portion, and cook meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes in a high-volume kitchen.

Responsibilities include plating, supporting the Dietary Manager, maintaining sanitation, managing inventory, and assisting with procurement and menu development. Flexibility for special events and weekend shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Classically trained cook with ability to work in a high-volume facility.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes to ensure consistency and quality.
• Knowledge of food safety guidelines and sanitary practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.
• Plate and garnish cooked items for attractive presentation.
• Support Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation before and after food service.
• Manage inventory, rotate stock, assist with purchasing, and help with recipe development and compliance.
• Handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
