Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions, Westerly Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Westerly, RI, is seeking a skilled Cook to join our team in a Skilled Nursing Facility. You will prepare nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.

Ideal applicants are classically trained cooks with experience in high-volume operations, capable of plating, sanitation, inventory management, and supporting the Dietary Manager.

Qualifications

• Classically trained cook with experience in high-volume culinary operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion and cook a variety of nutritious meals following standardized recipes.
• Plate and garnish cooked items to ensure attractive presentation.
• Liaise with the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Maintain high sanitation standards in the kitchen and equipment.
• Manage inventory, stock rotation, purchasing support, and recipe development/ compliance.
• Handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
