Job summary

A maintenance technician position at Avenue5 Residential’s The Edison at Frisco is open. You will perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and general maintenance tasks to uphold high standards of curb appeal and resident satisfaction.

You will participate in preventative maintenance, safety initiatives, and on-call emergencies, ensuring timely, quality work while maintaining professional conduct and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least one year of experience in the property management industry or directly related field.
• Possess general maintenance and general carpentry skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance functions including electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, grounds maintenance.
• Perform general carpentry: wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, window/glass repair, door/lock repair, tile repair.
• Proactive preventative maintenance: siding, painting, lighting, sprinkler, pool, elevator and more.
• Maintain work order system and ensure timely completion to standards and resident satisfaction.
• Inspect property grounds, buildings, and common areas for safety and cleanliness; identify issues.
• Assist with property emergencies (snow, fires, floods).
• Communicate with maintenance leadership about issues.
• Promote safety and risk management per rules and regulations.
• Participate in on-call/after-hours maintenance; meet response times.
• Promote customer satisfaction through cleanliness and curb appeal with residents and teams.
• Foster positive relations with residents, other properties, and agencies.
• Maintain professional demeanor and adhere to uniform policy.
