Job summary
Gerber Collision & Glass is hiring an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences through meticulous vehicle repairs, restoring pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, reassemble and ensure quality while aligning with KPIs and being a Brand Ambassador for The Boyd Group.
The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a technical program or a 3-year apprenticeship; strong communication and teamwork are essential in this fast-paced shop
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
Responsibilities
- Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
- Plans the repair work and prepares cost estimates for customers; uses tools to repair sections of a vehicle.
- Hammers out dents and applies filler resins when needed.
- Realigns car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
- Removes damaged sections and replaces parts; repairs glass/windows as needed.
- Replaces or repairs interior parts; welds and reattaches parts and repaints vehicles.
- Completes work orders within labor time guidelines and inspects completed work.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
