Job summary

JLL is seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager to join our Facilities Maintenance team at Orion Assembly in Lake Orion, MI. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing building systems including PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and BMS to ensure smooth operations.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience with industrial controls and building automation, plus strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related technical field preferred
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience with industrial control systems, PLCs, HMIs, and building automation systems

Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve Maximo preventive maintenance (PM) tasks, Corrigo work orders, and client service calls daily
• Build management systems (BMS), including Tridium platforms, ensuring proper functionality in coordination with contractors
• Provide emergency after-hours support for critical facility systems as needed
• Train and mentor maintenance technicians on Maximo, computer systems, and procedures
• Lead controls projects focused on continuous improvement and cost savings
