Job summary

JLL is seeking a Technical Manager in Facilities Maintenance to oversee systems like dock doors, HVAC, PLCs, and building automation. You will lead troubleshooting, optimization, and continuous improvement while coordinating with contractors and the internal team.

The role requires 3–5 years in industrial control systems and a degree in Electrical/Controls Engineering, with strong PLC and BMS experience. On-site work in multiple Michigan locations offers stability and growth potential.

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related technical field preferred.

Responsibilities

Respond to and resolve PM tasks, work orders, and client service calls daily.
Maintain Building Management Systems (BMS), including Tridium platforms, with contractors.
Provide emergency after-hours support for critical facility systems as needed.
Prepare weekly and monthly reports for the Facility Team.
Develop and update Technical Information System (TIS) documents.
Maintain and update facility drawings and logic repositories in dual locations (JLL and client SharePoint).
Lead and mentor maintenance technicians on Maximo, IT systems, and technical procedures.
Coordinate weekend coverage for off-site incident commander duties.
Lead controls projects focused on continuous improvement and cost savings.
