Job summary

JLL is seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our Facilities Maintenance team in Pontiac, MI. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize building automation systems, PLCs, and related control systems to ensure seamless facility operations.

This is a 1st shift position and requires strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous improvement. You will work with Maximo CMMS, Corrigo, and BMS systems (Tridium).

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Controls Eng or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience with industrial control systems, PLCs, HMIs, and building automation.

Responsibilities

• Respond to PM tasks and service calls; coordinate with contractors for BMS functionality.
• Create and maintain backups of PLC/HMI/VFD software; document procedures.
• Train technicians on Maximo and technical procedures; assist with supervision tasks.
