Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated seeks a Technical Manager to join the Facilities Maintenance team at Orion Assembly in Lake Orion, MI. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing building systems such as dock doors, HVAC, PLCs, and related controls to ensure seamless facility operations.

You will lead technical initiatives, coordinate with contractors, and mentor technicians while supporting continuous improvement and cost savings across the site.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience with industrial control systems, PLCs, HMIs, and building automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Respond to Maximo PM tasks, Corrigo work orders, and client service calls daily.
• Manage Building Management Systems (Tridium) with contractor coordination.
• Provide emergency after-hours support for critical facility systems as needed.
• Prepare weekly/monthly reports and update technical documentation and drawings.
• Mentor maintenance technicians on Maximo, IT, and procedures; assist with supervisory tasks.
• Lead controls projects focused on continuous improvement and cost savings.
