Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Waukesha County in Waukesha, WI is hiring a Before and After School, 4K Wrap and Camp Specialist. You will supervise youth ages 4-13 across YBASE, 4K Wrap, Camp and SOFD programs at multiple sites, year-round with a summer transition to camp counselor.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with 240 hours of experience in an approved education setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must complete at least one course in school-age growth and development within 2 months of hire.
• Willing to obtain CPR, First Aid, AED and related certifications as needed.
• Able to relate well with diverse groups and travel to multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities for YBASE, 4K Wrap, Camp and SOFD.
• Supervise and engage groups of children (ages 4-13) ensuring safety and positive behavior.
• Collaborate with 4K Lead Teachers, YBASE Site Supervisors, and other staff.
• Fulfill summer responsibilities as a camp counselor.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe program space and accurate participant records.
• Follow emergency procedures and uphold YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
