Job summary

Smart Tech Contracting, LLC is seeking a Site Superintendent – Critical Infrastructure to lead on-site operations for hyperscale and colocation data center construction projects in Texas and surrounding areas.

You will supervise field teams, coordinate across trades, and act as the primary STC representative to GC superintendents and owner reps, ensuring safety, schedule, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Ten years of field leadership in mission-critical, hyperscale, or complex MEP construction environments.
• Experience supervising multi-trade sites and managing subcontractors/partners.
• Strong understanding of sequencing, safety, quality control, and commissioning workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site STC field operations and supervise labor, subs, and partners.
• Coordinate daily activities across trades: electrical, mechanical, automation, controls, networking, commissioning.
• Serve as STC’s primary on-site representative to GC superintendents and owner reps.
• Lead daily coordination meetings, site walks, and alignment sessions.
• Resolve field conflicts to protect schedule and quality.
• Develop and maintain 3-week look-ahead schedules with GC master schedule.
• Direct installation, startup, testing, and commissioning activities across scopes.
• Enforce QA/QC per contract documents and specs.
• Track field progress, manpower, and productivity for reporting.
• Identify scope gaps and elevates risks with recommendations.
