Job summary

Avantor’s Advanced Laboratory Services seeks a capable operations supervisor in the Rensselaer area. You will lead coordinators and technicians, manage daily lab support activities, and ensure tasks align with the contract and safety standards.

You’ll oversee inventory control, purchasing, ERP usage, and reporting, while coordinating with procurement and customers. A strong emphasis on leadership, data accuracy, and regulatory compliance is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Four or more years of relevant site services, lab support, or supply chain experience.
• Experience supervising and coaching employees is required.
• Background in regulated pharma/biotech/life sciences environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily activities of coordinators and technicians to meet SOW requirements.
• Prioritize work, allocate staffing, and ensure timely, compliant operations.
• Oversee inventory, ordering, receiving, and stock rotation with FIFO/FEFO.
• Coordinate with procurement, suppliers, and customer stakeholders on issues.
• Ensure safety, quality, documentation, and audit readiness.
