Job summary

Fortrex is seeking a Site Manager II specializing in sanitation to lead a sanitation crew at a food processing facility. You will oversee daily operations, manage budgets, and ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met, protecting product quality and consumer health.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in sanitation, and collaboration with customers and regulators. The position is on-site at our Dodge City facility, with opportunities to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to read, write, add, and subtract.
• 2 years of relevant sanitation experience.
• General working knowledge of computers/technology (MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to wear PPE in a food processing environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement strategy for operational management to meet performance, safety, timeliness, and budget requirements.
• Monitor, measure, and report on operational issues, opportunities, improvement plans, and achievements.
• Manage and develop direct reporting staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, evaluating, and pay adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and policies across departments.
• Serve as liaison with customers and attend sanitation meetings with clients and auditors.
• Act as liaison with regulatory agencies as needed.
