Job summary

Day & Zimmermann is seeking an on-site Site Safety Manager for a nuclear fuel fabrication and enrichment facility in Eunice, NM. The role reports to the Regional Manager, EH&S, and collaborates with site leadership to make safety a visible value across operations.

Responsibilities include coaching, trend analysis, safety planning, incident investigations, audits, and CAP participation, with emphasis on fall protection, confined space, industrial hygiene, and equipment operations.

Qualifications

• College degree in safety or related field preferred; plus practical experience.
• OSHA 510/511, or safety degree credentials; professional certification valued.
• Experience in industrial/construction settings with Process Safety Management.
• Ability to research complex issues and communicate results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Promote field coaching and observations on standards and behaviors.
• Use trend analysis to understand drivers of performance.
• Manage safety planning for compliance and lessons learned.
• Lead incident investigations and communicate lessons learned.
• Conduct internal and customer audits for compliance.
• Provide case management for injuries to ensure care and outcomes.
• liaise with client on safety programs and performance.
• Partner with Operations on fall protection, confined space, IH, and hot work.
• Participate in client's Corrective Action Program (CAP).
