Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road is seeking an experienced Safety Manager for a San Antonio project. The role supports the Safety Director by implementing site safety reviews, training personnel, and ensuring an accident-free work environment across field and office teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of construction safety experience on heavy civil projects, a Bachelor’s degree in Safety and Health, and strong communication skills. Bilingual Spanish is highly desirable. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety and Health or a related field.
• Proven ability to supervise 1-2 safety professionals.
• Minimum of 5 years of construction safety experience.
• Experience with asphalt laydown operations and asphalt plant operations preferred.
• OSHA 500 preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and review project JHA and safe execution plans for subcontractors.
• Provide safety training and maintain training records.
• Conduct incident investigations and report findings.
• Lead project site safety meetings and daily site assessments.
• Liaise with owner representative and management on safety matters
