Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road in San Antonio, TX, is seeking an experienced Safety Manager for a night/weekend shift on a large project. The role supports the Safety Director by reviewing safety on job sites and providing oversight for training and safety systems to field personnel.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years in construction safety, a related degree, and strong communication skills. Bilingual Spanish is highly desirable; OSHA 500 is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of construction safety experience on heavy civil projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Safety and Health or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety reporting.
• Must be able to work night and weekend shifts and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety reviews of job sites and ensure a safe, healthy environment.
• Develop and review JHA and safety execution plans for subcontractors.
• Conduct safety training, incident investigations, and site safety meetings.
• Monitor training effectiveness and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate with Safety Director and project teams to eliminate hazards.
