Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road in San Antonio is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to lead complex construction projects from start to finish, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget adherence.

You will coordinate Owners, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams, and work with the Estimating and Scheduling departments to drive successful bids and master schedules. The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and at least seven years supervising and coordinating projects, with experience in design-build, TxDOT

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field with 7 years of supervising and coordinating construction projects.
• Experience includes design-build projects using technical building procedures; mass placement concrete per TxDOT standards; cold weather concrete placement; and Bluebeam for takeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Hold Owners, subcontractors, and vendors accountable to the performance of their contract.
• Hold progress, planning, and safety meetings with all project stakeholders on a regular basis.
• Solicit subcontractor bids and prepare final cost estimate and proposal; manage startup activities and coordinate with the superintendent on site logistics.
• Review subcontractor bids for buyout, ensure bonds and insurance are in place, and resolve contract interpretation issues.
• Prepare and submit monthly pay requests to Owners and architects; negotiate changes with written approvals; monitor cost information and labor efficiency.
• Develop and maintain the master construction schedule with Scheduling Department; ensure high standards of quality, safety, teamwork, and efficiency.
