Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Architect - REMOTE

We are seeking a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Leader with 14+ years of experience in infrastructure and application architecture. The ideal candidate will excel in defining SRE roadmaps, mentoring high-performing teams, and driving organizational resiliency through the implementation of core SRE principles. Roles/Responsibilities:

1. Must have good experience on infrastructure architecture
2. Must have application architectural experience
3. Build and mentor the SRE teams across the organization
4. Perform SRE activities independently with architectural expertise
5. Define SRE roadmaps and strategies across the organization
6. Create and set SRE objectives such as SLI, SLO, SLA, and KPIs
7. Implement core SRE principles and practices effectively
8. Collaborate with teams on estimation, resource planning, and solution delivery to meet business needs
9. Understand management requirements and strategize planning from SRE and resiliency perspectives
10. Manage triage and RCA of production incidents
11. Enhance observability and monitoring using APM tools, dashboards, alerts, and automation
12. Demonstrate leadership qualities like cross-team collaboration and effective communication

Required Qualifications:

• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Proficiency with JIRA
• Budget and resource planning skills
• Experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Planner
• Proficiency in documentation tools like Confluence, SharePoint
• Knowledge of SRE Chaos/Resiliency Engineering principles
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Splunk, APM)
• Understanding of cloud concepts, Kubernetes, Docker, cloud-native technologies
• Linux/Unix expertise
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible
• Knowledge of databases and monitoring tools
• Experience with AWS and OpenShift

Job Location:

Remote

Salary:

Between $102K and $160K annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
