Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Architect - REMOTE

We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Leader with 14+ years of expertise in infrastructure and application architecture. The ideal candidate will excel in defining SRE roadmaps, mentoring high-performing teams, and enhancing organizational resiliency through core SRE principles. Roles/Responsibilities:

1. Possess strong experience in infrastructure and application architecture.
2. Build and mentor SRE teams across the organization.
3. Perform SRE activities independently with architectural expertise.
4. Define SRE roadmaps and strategies organization-wide.
5. Create and set SRE objectives, SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, and KPIs.
6. Implement core SRE principles and practices effectively.
7. Collaborate on estimation, resource planning, and delivering solutions aligned with business needs.
8. Understand management requirements and strategize planning from SRE and resiliency perspectives.
9. Conduct triage and root cause analysis of production incidents.
10. Enhance observability and monitoring using APM tools, dashboards, alerts, and automation.
11. Demonstrate leadership qualities such as cross-team collaboration and effective communication.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience with Agile methodologies and JIRA.
• Proficiency in budget and resource planning.
• Knowledge of ITSM tools like ServiceNow.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Planner, and documentation tools like Confluence and SharePoint.
• Understanding of SRE Chaos/Resiliency Engineering principles.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Splunk, and APM.
• Cloud concepts with expertise in AWS, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native technologies.
• Linux/Unix proficiency.
• Programming or scripting skills in any language.
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible.
• Knowledge of databases and observability tools.

Job Location: Remote

Salary: $102,000 - $160,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

This position is eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to plan terms.
