Robotic Technologies Automation is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to apply software engineering principles to IT operations and cloud infrastructure in Pittsburgh. You will build reliable systems and automate operations at scale, collaborating with Dev and Ops teams to keep our websites and services fast and resilient.

The role emphasizes incident response, automation, monitoring, capacity planning, and adherence to reliability standards such as SLOs and SLIs.

Qualifications

• Experience in site reliability engineering and large-scale systems.
• Proficiency in programming/scripting for ops automation (Python, Java, Ruby).
• Familiarity with incident response, root-cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
• Ability to define and manage SLOs/SLIs/SLAs and error budgets.
• Capacity planning and collaboration between development and operations.

Responsibilities

• Handle production alerts, investigate root causes, resolve outages, and lead post-incident reviews to prevent future failures.
• Write code and scripts to automate manual operations, routine maintenance, and system deployments.
• Track system health using metrics, logs, and traces to measure latency, traffic, errors, and saturation.
• Define and manage SLOs, SLIs, SLAs, and error budgets to balance speed with stability.
• Analyze user traffic and usage patterns to forecast future hardware and infrastructure demands.
