Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer II to strengthen reliability within the Payments Technology Team. You will partner across functions to define SLOs/SLIs, implement robust monitoring, and own incident management.

The role emphasizes AI-assisted triage and RCAs to reduce downtime and improve service quality. You'll apply Dynatrace, Splunk, Kafka, and Kubernetes to scale reliability across on‑prem and cloud environments, while building automated runbooks and improving

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience (NAMR/APAC – India/ LATAM/ Hong Kong)
• Working knowledge of enterprise AI capabilities in SRE workflows with strong validation habits
• Ability to assess AI-assisted operational recommendations for correctness and risk
• Large-scale app/infrastructure experience across on‑prem and public cloud environments
• Hands-on observability: monitoring, tracing, log analysis with Dynatrace/Geneos/Splunk
• Strong microservices with Java/Spring Boot and event-driven patterns (Kafka)
• DevOps: Jenkins CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, automation practices
• Scripting: Python, Bash/PowerShell, Node.js

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end service delivery to enable reliable business operations across the firm.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define and maintain SLOs/SLIs and error budgets.
• Uses enterprise AI capabilities to speed incident triage, troubleshooting, and post-incident analysis.
• Own day-to-day operational processes including incident management, RCA, and change/event management.
• Monitor production environments and build alerting to detect incidents early and minimize downtime.
• Design and implement Dynatrace instrumentation to monitor performance and user experience.
• Apply AI-driven insights to identify toil and reliability risks and prioritize improvements.
