Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Quality Manager I to own the project QC program on a single site. You will maintain the ITP, schedule and witness tests, and produce daily QC reports, while opening and closing nonconformances with the superintendent and engineer of record.

The role requires 3+ years in construction materials testing and a relevant certification (ACI/NICET/ICC/USACE), with the potential for CQM-C sponsorship. Travel to sites as required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing, special inspection, or contractor QC.
• At least one of: ACI Grade I, NICET II, ICC special inspector, or USACE CQM-C; sponsorship available for CQM-C.
• Ability to read specifications and drawings and translate them into a test schedule.
• Direct, organized, and capable of communicating testing issues to superintendents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and testing frequency log against specs.
• Schedule and witness field and lab tests; verify technician certifications.
• Write the daily QC report and three-phase meeting records.
• Open/track nonconformances with the superintendent and engineer of record; audit submittal files.
