Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager I to own the quality control program for a single project under a senior manager. Responsibilities include maintaining the ITP, scheduling tests, writing daily QC reports, and closing NCRs with engineers and superintendents on site.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years in materials testing or QC, with certifications such as ACI Grade I, NICET II, ICC Special Inspector, or USACE CQM-C. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing, special inspection, or contractor QC.
• Candidate should be able to read specifications and drawings and translate them into a test schedule.
• Able to identify nonconforming conditions and communicate effectively with field supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and the testing frequency log against the specifications.
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests.
• Verify certifications of the technicians performing tests.
• Write the daily quality control report and the three-phase meeting records.
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and engineer of record.
• Keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
