Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager I to own the quality control program on a single project. You will maintain the ITP, schedule and witness tests, and write daily QC and NCR documents while coordinating with the superintendent and engineer of record.

You will advance from field inspector to manager, with sponsored training and risk-managed exposure to USACE and ICC/NICET certifications. Travel to project sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing, special inspection, or contractor QC.
• At least one: ACI Grade I, NICET Level II, ICC special inspector, or USACE CQM-C certificate.
• Able to read specifications and drawings and convert them into a test schedule.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan and the testing frequency log against the specifications.
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests; verify technician certifications.
• Write the daily QC report and three-phase meeting records.
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and engineer of record.
• Keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
• Engage with superintendents on rework and with owners on schedule.
