Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Quality Manager I to own the project quality program on a single site, under a senior manager. You will manage the ITP, schedule and witness tests, and deliver the daily QC reports while tracking NCRs through to close.

You will sponsor and apply required certifications, read specs/drawings, and coordinate with superintendents and engineers to keep the program compliant and auditable.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing, special inspection, or contractor QC.
• Ability to read specifications and drawings and turn them into a test schedule.
• Willingness to lead discussions with superintendents when tests do not pass.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and the testing frequency log against specs.
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests; verify technician certifications.
• Write the daily QC report and three-phase meeting records.
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with superintendent and engineer.
• Keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
• Own NCR paperwork and communications when a test fails until retest passes.
