Job summary

YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg is seeking a Site Coordinator for School Age Programs to lead before- and after-school activities, ensuring a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children.

You will supervise staff, manage program quality, and build strong relationships with families and school partners. Responsibilities include planning activities, maintaining records, and ensuring licensing and YMCA standards are met.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of mandatory child care training MODs.
• 6 early childhood credits or CDA (Staff Credentials) required.
• Director Credentials is a plus.
• At least 1 year of experience in a before/after school setting.
• Current First Aid, CPR & AED certifications.
• Pass a 10-panel drug screen.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a weekly program of activities aligned with YMCA Curriculum.
• Supervise and guide staff, including daily support and performance evaluations.
• Manage all aspects of child safety, behavior, and engagement.
• Build positive relationships with parents, staff, school faculty, and principals.
• Maintain and organize all equipment, supplies, and facilities.
• Track attendance, maintain records, and manage site budgets.
• Promote and market YMCA programs, encouraging family participation.
• Ensure compliance with YMCA standards, state licensing, and agency requirements.
• Attend staff meetings and mandatory training sessions.
