Job summary

Railserve is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Site Leader to oversee daily rail operations at industrial facilities. This is a full-time leadership role responsible for safe, efficient, and customer-focused rail operations across in-plant activities including railcar switching, track maintenance, transloading, and equipment management.

Qualifications

• Lead and develop in-plant teams to meet safety and production goals.
• Coach staff to follow safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrate strong communication with customers and crews.
• Use data to drive scheduling, efficiency, and staffing decisions.
• Ability to interpret safety rules, operating procedures, and technical docs.
• Must be able to pass drug screen, physical, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment by training employees on safety protocols and operational procedures
• Foster a culture of safety and compliance while maintaining certifications and safety standards
• Lead, coach, and develop team members, identifying high performers for advancement
• Manage scheduling to ensure proper staffing and skill coverage across shifts
• Coordinate daily operations to meet customer expectations and contract requirements
• Oversee cost management including payroll, fuel, and equipment expenses
• Maintain and support preventive maintenance programs in coordination with mechanical teams
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and service delivery
• Perform administrative duties including timekeeping, reporting, and performance evaluations
• Supervise employees in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support efficient operations
