Job summary

Carvana’s Inspection Center in Heath, OH seeks an experienced General Manager to lead operations for up to 500 associates across multiple shifts. You’ll drive strategic planning, production management, and people development in a lean manufacturing environment, ensuring safety and cost objectives are met.

Responsibilities include capacity planning, performance reviews, and embedding Carvana’s culture on the shop floor. A strong track record in leadership and continuous improvement is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Proven track record of leading and developing associates.
• Ability to work a flexible, multi-shift production environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning to ensure capacity meets future demands.
• Provide strategic vision and guidance to the location.
• Model Carvana culture and leadership behaviors across the site.
• Frequent shop-floor visits to align with business realities.
• Drive improvements in quality, production, and cost performance.
• Oversee standard work, 5S, and visual management across the center.
• Oversee staffing, training, and progression paths for leaders.
• Lead continuous improvement projects and mentor managers.
• Other duties as assigned.
