Job summary

The Inspection Center General Manager at Carvana is responsible for the overall performance of the center, leading up to 500 associates across shifts in a lean manufacturing environment. You will drive strategic planning, production management, and people development to meet quality, production and cost objectives while upholding Carvana’s culture and safety standards.

You’ll mentor reconditioning managers, oversee weekly performance reviews, and ensure standardized work and visual controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing leading multiple work groups.
• Strong leadership and coaching capabilities across large teams.
• Experience implementing continuous improvement and lean initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning to ensure the facility can meet future demands.
• Provide strategic vision and guidance to the location and align with Carvana culture.
• Oversee production planning and ensure capacity to meet targets.
• Manage hiring, mentorship, and progression paths for leadership roles.
• Lead continuous improvement events and drive cost, quality, and safety results.
• Ensure standardized work, 5S, and visual management are consistently applied.
