Job summary

Carvana is seeking an Inspection Center General Manager to lead up to 500 associates across shifts in a lean manufacturing setting. You will drive strategic planning, production management, and people leadership to meet quality, production, and cost objectives at the Inspection Center.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, strong communication, and adherence to Carvana culture. Requires 8+ years of management experience and a valid driver’s license; on-site work at our Las Vegas area

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Proven track record of leading and developing associates.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule.
• Able to work in a fast-paced production environment with variable weather.
• Excellent communications skills, verbal and written.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning to ensure the facility can meet future demands.
• Provide strategic vision and guidance to the location.
• Ensure management beliefs and behaviors align with Carvana culture.
• Visit the shop floor to model leadership and engage the team.
• Improve quality, production, and cost performance continuously.
• Lead production planning and capacity management to meet targets.
• Oversee weekly performance reviews and report results.
• Identify and resolve problems impacting performance; enforce standards.
• Participate in hiring and maintain a pipeline of leadership candidates.
• Mentor reconditioning managers and drive continuous improvement.
