Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to oversee the Inspection Center, directing a lean operation with 5 leads and up to 70 associates. You will drive continuous improvement, ensure quality and efficiency, and align with Carvana’s values in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

This supervisory role focuses on mentoring teams, coordinating training, and delivering on production targets while maintaining a safe, high-performance culture within the Carvana Inspection Center.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Proven ability to meet project deliverables and company metrics.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Provide mentoring and accountability to direct reports and succession planning through coaching and training.
• Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with company goals.
• Ensure adherence to standards, policies, and performance metrics.
• Maintain a productive work environment reflecting Carvana’s values.
• Recruit, orient, and train supervisory staff.
• Ensure training and certification processes are consistently executed.
• Provide competency feedback to leads and associates.
• Manage production capacity and assist with planning.
• Ensure health, safety and loss-prevention guidelines are followed.
• Guide the team toward performance targets and continuous improvement.
• Lead problem solving and quality initiatives.
