Job summary

Sysco seeks a senior leader to drive the health, safety and environmental (HSE) program at the OpCo level. You will craft and execute a site-focused strategy that aligns with Sysco's Corporate HSE objectives, including security and crisis preparedness.

A proven track record in safety leadership and regulatory compliance is essential. You will lead HSE plans, training, audits and metrics, partnering with operations leadership to reduce incidents and costs while promoting a strong safety culture

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or certifications with equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of hands-on environmental and safety experience in warehousing/distribution, manufacturing, or transportation operations.
• Certification in safety (CSP) preferred.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License and provide proof of liability coverage.

Responsibilities

• Develop HSE strategy aligned with Corporate goals.
• Design and implement HSE plans to reduce injuries and incidents.
• Communicate HSE strategy with Senior Leadership.
• Support site management in implementing HSE plans.
• Establish metrics to track progress and accountability.
• Create and deliver HSE training programs for management and staff.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Interface with OSHA, DOT, EPA and state/local regulators.
• Drive zero-incident culture across the company.
